Linn LM1 Drum Test

I found MIDI soundfont with samples ripped from the Linn LM1, a classic 80s drum machine. So I decided to put it to the test with my synth, and I decided to use some different synth sounds.

I’d prefer a Linndrum soundfont since I prefer the sounds of the Linndrum to the LM1, but beggers can’t be choosers. If I’m going for an 80s drum machine vibe I’ll typically go for Roland TR707 samples since they’re close enough to Linndrum samples.

Yes the drums are laggy, no there’s nothing I can do about it.

The Lynndrum is an earlier drum machine used in a lot of hits of the early and mid 1980s (Prince’ "1999," "Take My Breath Away," "Conga," "Bad Is Bad" and many other hits. Its snair sound is fairly distinct, especially if there’s some reverb on it.
