While looking through my old hard drive for blog matterial, I came across a recording of trying to play MIDI files on my Casio CTK691 keyboard. Problem: at this point I had a very cheap USB to MIDI interface that was prone to glitching out. Not sure why, but it’d randomly stutter. Also, some tracks were transposed by an octave or more, and sometimes the keyboard would randomly switch instruments (the black MIDIs in here are supposed to be only piano, one has a drum kit but the others shouldn’t have extra instruments), but I’ll blame that on Casio instead of the makers of this cheap interface.
This is a longer file, so feel free to skimm through it. The source recording is way longer, nearly 35 minutes, but I removed the less funny examples and the downtime.
