If Hold Music Was Better

Little random thing I did. The song is the "Shop" theme from the SNES game Waterworld from 1995, one of the best game soundtracks ever made. The game itself, from what I’m told, is hot garbage. The "Diving" theme in particular is one of the most mysterious yet comforting songs I’ve ever heard.

The way I got this to sound like it was on a phone call was to simply inport the WAV file into Audacity, and export it in the AMR narrowband format. The AMR codec is what’s actually used in 3G cellular phone networks and a lot of other telecom applications.
